The 5th CCF BIG DATA Conference (CCF Big Data 2017), organized by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and jointly hosted by the CCF Task Force on Big Data and Shenzhen University, will be held in 13-15 Oct, 2017 at Shenzhen. The conference was first launched in 2013 and has been successfully held during 2013-2016. Since the establishment of the CCF Task Force on Big Data, the committee has been dedicated to promoting this flagship conference in the field of big data. CCF Big Data 2017 aims to serve as an excellent platform for the researchers, developers and users of big data from mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan, Macao and overseas, to exchange their latest research results and new applications, and to dissuss the fundamental problems facing big data technology industrialization. As the reputation of the conference and the impact of the published papers grow, the number of participants is increasing rapidly. The CCF Task Force on Big Data also has been seeking to expand the international exchanges and the cooperation with other international big data academic organizations. CCF Big Data is becoming one of the largest and the most influential international conferences in the Asia Pacific region. It is our great pleasure to see this conference making steady progress toward its expected target.
